Dubai has introduced a new resolution allowing free zone businesses to operate in mainland Dubai, creating fresh opportunities for growth.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has issued a regulation permitting free zone establishments—excluding DIFC financial institutions—to operate outside their zones with Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) approval.

Flexible Licensing: Businesses can obtain DET permits for branches or specific activities.

DET will release a list of permitted activities within six months. Existing businesses must comply within a year, with an optional one-year extension upon approval.
